THE PREMIERE OF “DARE TO BE REMARKABLE”

Over the past several weeks, I have been working with a video company, Animus Studios, to produce a mini documentary about my life. A friend of mine, and also a member of the Animus team, had approached me with this idea awhile back, and I happily accepted the offer. We were also lucky enough to have the opportunity to air the finished product on HooplaHa.com, a website that posts material—pictures, videos, and inspirational stories—to make people smile. Now that it is completed, I am so excited to finally present to you “Dare to Be Remarkable – Living w. Spinal Muscular Atrophy” and hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! Also, please feel free to share this video with your loved ones. From the bottom of my heart, I’d like to thank Justin Andrews, Scott Beer, Andrew Drachman, Arty Goldstein, Kris Castro, and everyone at HooplaHa.com for making this happen. The video couldn’t be more perfect.

Chronicling my journey while teaching the world that I have SMA, but it will NEVER have me. Life's what you make it, dare to make it a remarkable one✨

  1. What a fantastic video, Alyssa! (And family!) I have ten years on you (I’m almost 33), a master’s degree, my own business — and, of course, SMA! It’s always so heartening to see the next generation of people living fearlessly with SMA… In a way, it makes the obstacles my cohort faced down (not to mention folks older than us) totally worth it. Keep living your authentic life and know that really, the only thing that can hold you back is you. (I love that quote: “I have SMA. SMA does not have me!”)

    1. Thank you for watching it! That’s so amazing to hear that you have SMA and own your own business. I just graduated from a business school and received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing. Who knows, maybe I’ll follow in your footsteps someday 🙂
